The photos on this page will reflect Jen and Holger's early 1994 trip out to Bunce Island. Bunce Island is a historically significant island off the coast of Port Loko, known for its slave forts. To this day, walls from some of the buildings remain. When we left Sierra Leone, plans to make the island a protected national heritage site were still in the works.
